The Institute of Photonic Sciences (ICFO) is offering a postdoctoral position to a well-qualified, highly motivated and dynamic young scientst who wishes to enhace his/her scientific career in a friendly and stimulating environment.
The successful candidate will be joining the Quantun Optics Theory group led by Prof, Maciej Lewenstein. The group has experience in quantum many body physics, quantum optics and quatum machine learning.
The candidate will be workin on the project ” Exploring quantum phases of matter with quatum simulators and machine learning”, which is led by Dr. Alexander Dauphin and funded by the La Caixa foundation. The project will focus on:
-Studiying phases of matter with quantum simulatros and machie learning.
-Quantum machine learning on Noisy intermediate-Scacle quantum devices and quantum simulators.
Requirements & Conditions
Candidates must hold an internationally-recognized Ph.D- equivalent degree( or evidence of tis competio in the nearest future) preferably in quatum physics.
The candidate should have a proven track record of top level research during the PhD studies. Positively valued will be the experience in the points (i) and (ii) mentioned above. Particularly desired is an experience in numerical methods and (quantum) machine learning. ICFO is an equal opportunity employer.
